Costs and rates: what each payment is made of

Goods, domestic delivery, international freight, payment charges and optional services. Two official eight-yuan descriptions have an unresolved relationship; compare the itemised checkout.

The official formula, line by line

The help centre's cost formula reads: commodity cost, plus international freight, plus packaging fee, plus optional value-added services. Commodity cost itself bundles the selling price and the seller-to-warehouse courier fee, which is why the first payment already contains a freight component. Buying several items from one seller and settling them together pays that domestic fee once.

The retained fee article states no handling fee for the buying service. That does not make the complete purchase free of conversion costs, payment charges, domestic delivery, international freight or selected extras.

Two eight-yuan lines, deliberately kept apart

Two different help articles each name a charge of eight yuan. Article 74 lists a packaging consumables fee of ¥8 per parcel. Article 63 lists a customs declaration cost of generally RMB 8.00 per parcel. The operator never says whether they are one charge described twice or two charges billed together, so this site lists them separately with their sources and refuses to add them into a single number. When you reconcile a parcel receipt, look for each line on its own.

The two receipts, line by line

The first payment covers goods and seller-to-warehouse delivery. The retained help describes domestic freight once per seller per settlement, but confirm the actual listing and checkout. Shortfalls, conversion and payment charges can still affect the payable total.

The parcel invoice can include international freight, selected packing and insurance. Check each actual line rather than assuming that every charge described in a different help article applies simultaneously. The older parcel-list screenshot illustrates itemisation, not your final bill.

Reconciling is a two-minute habit: match the first receipt against the live listing price you screenshotted, match the second against the waybill you built. Any line you cannot name is a question for the order's message thread, with the OG number attached.

Payment channels: the surcharge is the real rate table

Official PayPal articles conflict: article 65 states 2.9% + US$0.30, while articles 64 and 99 state 3.5% + US$0.30. Confirm the actual payment screen and conversion before paying. The retained help also lists Alipay and WeChat with no stated handling charge and an indicative 1–60 minute posting interval, alongside other channels. Availability, conversion and final charges depend on the selected method.

Display currency is not necessarily the funding or settlement currency. Compare the same basket’s complete payable amount, the conversion used and any payment fee; do not infer the final rate from a catalogue display.

Coupons land on the second receipt, not the first

The 22 September 2024 announcement describes a CNY 3,000 coupon headline. This is a historical promotion, not a current account entitlement. Check the issued coupon’s eligible spend, route, minimum, expiry and stacking restrictions in your account. The old tutorial’s coupon row illustrates the interface, not a present discount.

Freight: quoted free, charged measured

The public estimator provides available route examples for the entered destination, goods, weight and dimensions. Some routes have minimums or restrictions. For volumetric routes, compare packed actual kg against L × W × H in cm divided by the route factor; actual-only routes also exist. Minimums and rounding can change the charge. Requote before submission and inspect the final parcel invoice.

Insurance is per route, priced at submission, with delay compensation terms the help centre publishes per line. Whether it earns its premium depends on the parcel: the published delay trigger sits at 30 or 40 days from shipment depending on the route.

Exchange rate: compare the complete payable amount

Use the same CNY basket and the same payable currency when comparing two options. Record the amount credited to the account after payment charges, the conversion used for the item purchase, and any separate card or bank fee. A storefront display currency does not establish the settlement rate.

For a simple comparison, divide the CNY basket by a same-time reference CNY-per-USD rate to find a reference USD amount. Compare the actual USD payable against that baseline, including fixed and percentage payment charges. Label the date and method: a difference observed once is not a permanent markup or a future quote.
